Dear Neighbors Near and Far!
Your presence is cordially requested for tea! Li Pallas’ asks you to step inside the Dirt Palace Storefront Window Gallery where you will then be provided with one disposable cup of tea. After you drink, the cup will be left in the window and tacked up on the back wall in a decorative pattern. This pattern will be periodically rearranged.
Tea is an incredibly simple action with a wide breadth of implications. Spanning from taxation without representation, ritual, madness, fair trade, conviviality, to the wastefulness of consumer culture; tea is most importantly a platform for a delicate intimate exchange between people. You are encouraged to use your tea time to discuss your latest project for documentation on the website, step on a soapbox about a particularly moving issue, or simply enjoy the company of your tea.
Participation is deeply appreciated and crucial to the success of the piece. To schedule a tea date please click here.
